With nearly 30 years of experience in the commercial lending space, Chuck Sr. started his first company equipment leasing company out of his parents’ house after working at Midlantic Bank (now PNC). A serial entrepreneur, Chuck parlayed his success in the equipment leasing space into a telecom company which he sold to a publicly traded firm in 2004. Chuck is Chairman of the CMS Family of Companies, which include CMS Commercial Finance, CMS Funding, CMS Technology Partners, and CanRelieve. He also operates a family office where he deploys his capital in both debt and equity opportunities.
Chuck received a B.S. in Accounting from Manhattan College.
Chuck Seergy, Jr.

Head of Business Development
Chuck Jr. started his career in commercial lending at Citizens Bank where he held roles in Business Development on both the Global Markets and Commercial Lending teams. While at Citizens, Chuck originated over half a billion dollars in new credit relationships with both middle market and corporate clients across the US. Prior to launching CMS Commercial Finance with his father, Chuck held a role as a Director at a fintech company specializing in foreign currency exchange for middle market clients where he led business development efforts to both asset based lenders and borrowers.
Chuck received a B.A. in Economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Steve Eitman

Chief Financial Officer
Steve brings over 30 years of experience to the CMS team. His early start was with the “Big 8” certified public accounting firm Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company (now called KPMG). After leaving public accounting and moving into the private sector, Steve spent the bulk of his career in senior financial positions in the Financial Services industry including Broker Dealers, Investment Advisory Firms and Leasing & Financing companies.
Steve received a B.S. in Accounting from Ithaca College.
Katie Johnston
Director of Operations
and Documentation
Katie is an experienced corporate operations professional with expertise in multiple business disciplines including sales, marketing, and project management. She has been a valued member of the CMS team for over a decade and leads the company’s efforts in documentation and operations.
Katie received a B.S. in Business Administration from Caldwell University.
